Hi All,
how can I completely remove the search box/field from File Explorer in Windows 10 Pro (64-Bit)? In Windows 7, the option to disable Windows search in Programs and Features did the job but this is no longer available in Windows 10. The fix also needs to apply to "Open" and "Save-As" dialogs in apps such as notepad etc.
Disabling the Windows Search service does not remove the search box and still allows sub-folders/files in hidden folders to be searched.
