Hi All,

We have Windows 10 machines in our domain and they restart automatically after the updates are installed and never show a proper notification for reboot.

We see below message however even if we click on Another time it reboots post the time (in this case it is 12:14 AM) mentioned in the popup and ignore the unsaved work which is very annoyed:

We have below policies in place:

Our requirements are:

1. Update/s should install automatically.

2. Windows 10 machine should notify the users to restart the machine for 2 or 3 days and then force the user to restart (or prompt the same on the computer screen) the machine to complete the installation.

Please let us know if the above points can be achieved and if not why?

Also, the detailed meaning of this policy setting "Specify Engaged restart transition and notification schedule for updates" with the below mentioned values:

Specify the timing before transitioning from Auto-restart to Engaged restart (pending user schedule): Transition (days): 2
Specify snooze for Engaged restart reminder notifications: Snooze (days): 2
Specify the deadline before a pending restart will automatically be executed outside of active hours: Deadline (days): 3
