Hello Everyone,

We are using Win10 x64 Enterprise (fully patched) in our fleet with Folder Redirection activated. Laptop devices have Offline Files enabled. The file share hosting Folder Redirection is a standard share on a NAS (not using DFS).

The following is the scenario when we are encountering an issue;

1. User has both a laptop and a desktop PC.

2. User modifies Document1.docx on desktop PC (while laptop is offline).

3. User modifies same Document1.docx on laptop (while offline).

4. User reconnects laptop to the network. As expected, Sync Center reports a sync conflict for Document1.doc.

5. User opens conflict and selects "Keep this version" for the latest version (on laptop).

6. An error message popup appears with title "Cannot resolve conflict".

Body of the message is "The conflict could not be resolved in the manner you chose. Incorrect function"

The instance of Document1.docx on fileshare disappears... seems to the replaced with a file called Document1~RF2e9d9.TMP .

7. The offline instance still exists... if you close Sync centre and launch in again, it provides the option of copying the laptop instance to the fileshare OR deleting it.

It seems very similar to the following issue in Win7 that was fixed with a hotfix (Fix333959): https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/36e45634-eefd-4972-8b85-8467e60f700c/tmp-files-created-files-missing-offline-files-issue?forum=w7itprogeneral

We have tried uninstalling our Symantec AV/Security application to set if might be causing the issue but doesn't help.

This is a major problem for us as it's very confusing for users & they could potentially loose data. I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to fix!. Thank you.
