Windows 10 Windows 10 "You're not up to date" message, even though updates managed by WSUS and machine is up to date

I manage updates in my environment through WSUS. I haven't pushed updates since early December. This week however, I've been getting a bunch of Windows 10 machines on my network display a message in the system tray that says "You're not up to date". But if you check for updates it says there are no updates available. We have a mix of both 32 bit and 64 bit versions, both pro and enterprise, and a myriad of different builds. It is not isolated to any one.
