We make a bootable USB drive from one of our vendors. When it is created it puts everything onto a ESP or EFI system partition. This USB drive boots fine and works as expected for the purpose of booting and doing the vendors stuff. However there are INI files and other config files that need to be modified on the USB drive from time to time.
When you plug a USB drive with a ESP partition only:
Windows 10 1709 - Drive gets a drive letter in my computer.
Windows 10 1803 and 1809 - Drive does not get a letter in my computer. It shows up in disk management but you cannot assign a drive letter.
Can anyone explain why 1709 shows the USB drive under my computer and newer Windows 10 do not?
Thank you
