Good day,

I want to lockdown my start layout from modification by the users. I want to push a layout with only 1 group locked.

I've export my layout with the powershell cmdlet Export-startlayout ... as xml file.

After this completed, i put the lock parameter to DefaultLayoutOverride like this:

<DefaultLayoutOverride LayoutCustomizationRestrictionType="OnlySpecifiedGroups">

Here is a layout example:

I wanted the Microsoft group locked but the Meteo's group unlocked.

<LayoutModificationTemplate Version="1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/LayoutModification"> <DefaultLayoutOverride LayoutCustomizationRestrictionType="OnlySpecifiedGroups"
> <StartLayoutCollection> <defaultlayout:StartLayout GroupCellWidth="6" xmlns:defaultlayout="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/FullDefaultLayout"> <start:Group Name="Microsoft" xmlns:start="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/StartLayout"> <start:Tile Size="2x2" Column="0" Row="0" AppUserModelID="Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge" /> <start:Tile Size="2x2" Column="4" Row="0" AppUserModelID="Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy!CortanaUI" />
</start:Group>
<start:Group Name="Meteo"
<start:Tile Size="2x2" Column="2" Row="0" AppUserModelID="Microsoft.BingWeather_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App" />
</start:Group>

</defaultlayout:StartLayout> </StartLayoutCollection> </DefaultLayoutOverride> </LayoutModificationTemplate>

But when I applied this via GPO, all my layout is locked down. Can we made only a partial lock for only one group?

Thank's, in advance.
