Have tried all of the fixes to 'Win10 Start Menu not working" I can find, in this forum and on the internet, to no avail. If it's on the internet i have tried it. At the moment all I can do is sit around and wait for the next major Win10 update. Brilliant! I am so happy the starter motor in my car doesn't work like the Win10 Start Menu - there are hundeds of people having the same problem. It has happened to me at least four times since installing this OS, but this time the problem is intractable. Really - just Brilliant!
One 'solution' that asks me to create two additional admin accounts with Explorer system file access, is a puzzle - because the ...\TileDataLayer\Database folder is absent from these additional accounts (from where I am asked to copy their files and paste into the same folder, that is present, in the initial faulty account). Yes, I have set Explorer to view system files and extensions. Reboot, and all is supposed to be well?
Am seeking advice on this. Thank you for any help forthcoming.
# If you are a hired Microsoft 'Expert' about to pull faded advice out of a drawer that is already taking up GB's of space all over the internet - forget it. I'd just like to hear from someone who actually knows something useful - although I am not about to hold my breath. Start Menu doesn't work - just Brilliant !!!! I suppose they are waiting for someone out there to solve the problem for them, and save a few $bucks ....
