ok, so I had this problem on my PC with windows assigning the wrong type of folder type (music) to my folders (not music), thus getting me the wrong column heading in explorer. Most folders on my PC have a customise tab (right click > properties), so I have been able to set them all to "documents" and then switched off the automatic folder type discovery thing in regedit to stop it guessing (badly) again.

great. all fixed.

except my phone. when viewing my usb connected android phone in explorer it thinks all my files are music files so displays the headings accordingly. This is super annoying when viewing the camera folder as it has a lot of pictures which it stores in date order (newest LAST). When viewing the folder and trying to find a recent picture I then have to sit there for AGES while it creates a thumbnail for every single picture from the OLDEST first. This takes frickin ages.

All I want to do it be able to sort the date column so they appear newest first. But there is not date column. because windows is stupid and thinks a folder full of photos are music and therefore clearly I want the columns to show artist and albumn rather than useful stuff LIKE THE FRICKIN DATE.

Is it possible to fix this, because it is stupidly annoying. and just wrong. I mean it's not like I'm trying to break windows to get it to do something weird - I just want it to work correctly.
