A number of my users have reported an issue whereby the top and bottom of the application window they have open will appear blanked out or shows the image of the application open beneath the active application. For example in Word and Outlook the top of the application Window is blanked out so that the user cannot see the ribbon or the minimise/maximise/close buttons.

This also happens in Google Chrome and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, that I am aware of. This is a new issue and has occurred across various different machines in different locations on different networks but all running Windows 10 Professional and all users have a second monitor.

I have tried re-installing the programs to see if it an issue with them but the problem returns once they have been re-installed. I have tried updating graphics card driver and rolling back to an older driver but the issue remains.

I can confirm that all PCs in question are fully up-to-date as far as Windows 10 is concerned.

All hardware is different; different PC manufacturer and different model. The only common factor that I have been able to identify is that all users run two monitors.

I hae discovered that I am not the only engineer to be exeriencing this issue

Can you suggest what may be the cause?

Kind regards

David
