Dear all.
For a long time I'm used to working on two computers, one connected over remote desktop, both on the same Gbit network. It worked like a charm for a long time.
However last days (no major update I have installed on Windows 10, build 1809, the same on both computers) I'm experiencing a problem with remote desktop - I can connect to my notebook via RDP without a problem, while I'm working on the remote computer it works fine. When I minimize the connection to work on the desktop PC just for a few moments, no problem, I return back to my RDP session. But when I return back to desktop PC and work on it for a little longer and then return back to RDP session, it is just black.
Definetely there is something going on, as the mouse pointer changes when I move around, but the screen does not respond. From other forums I have seen, that calling task manager forces a screen refresh, but even if I press CTRL+AL+END, the screen is still black, even though the mouse pointer changes differently, so the "screen" changes, but I just can't see it. I have also tried to disable the raster cache in RDP client settings, tried to disable screen saver, etc., nothing helps... Still, when I left the session unattanded for a little longer, it gets black and the only way to continue is to disconnect and connect again.
And I can't find any discussions on any forums with similar symptomns - most of them say about black screen immediately after logon (not my case, as I can work for an unlimited time with the session, until I leave it unattended), and usually it is solved by CTRL+ALT+END combination, or disabling the cache.
I have also tried it the other way - to connect from notebook to desktop PC and it is the same problem... It really seems, like a bug in RDS service, that might have been updated recently. This does not happen on the Windows Server systems I usually connect to... Only on Windows 10 I have on my two computers.
Does anyone have the same problem? Any suggestions what can I do?
Thanks for any advice.
