Windows 10 "The User Profile Service failed the logon” after Windows 10 Feature Update to 1809.

Hi All,

I`ve recently upgraded a handful of devices using SCCM Windows 10 servicing to Windows 10 1809. Unfortunately it appears on quite a few devices the user who was logged on at the time is no longer able to log back in once the upgrade is finished.

The user receives the error "The User Profile Service failed the logon”, I believe I completed the majority of the basic troubleshooting steps to try and resolve this with no joy. Additionally, new users are able to log on and the problematic user is able to log on to other devices.

Steps completed;

1. Deleting the account using System Properties and User Profiles.

2. Manually deleting the account in registry and c:\users

3. DISM /online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

4. SFC \Scannow

5. Repair installation via ISO.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
