Problem with ntbackup

Trying to run the backup manually I get this error?

Backup Status
Operation: Backup
Active backup destination: File
Media name: "SBSData081907.bkf created 8/19/2007 at 2:49 PM"

Volume shadow copy creation: Attempt 1.
Timeout before function completed

Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:0xffffffff.

Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:ffffffff
Aborting Backup.

----------------------

The operation did not successfully complete.

Hi Dan,

Are there any related event ids in your event log?
Any new software installed when this issue started occuring?

Coraleigh,
Thanks for taking the time. I thought your first link and suggestion was
the ticket but I achived the save results as before the error.

I am not running a 64bit operationsystem so not sure if I want to try your
second link.

Installing this update is supposed to fix various VSS errors...

It was included in SP2.
