K: is a freshly formatted, NTFS volume. It has no $RECYCLE.BIN The only files that exist are:

k:\System Volume Information\IndexerVolumeGuid
k:\System Volume Information\WPSettings.dat
k:\System Volume Information\tracking.log

They total 20,568 bytes. Volume properties for K: show 310,636,544 bytes used. 310,615,976 bytes on K: are unaccounted.

K:\>chkdsk
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Volume label is MoviesP.

76 KB in 13 indexes.
0 KB in bad sectors.
185439 KB in use by the system.
65536 KB occupied by the log file.
3763920 MB available on disk.

4096 bytes in each allocation unit.
976745727 total allocation units on disk.
963563712 allocation units available on disk.
I have no idea where chkdsk is getting its numbers. They make no sense at all.

I know about $MFT. I know there are other hidden meta files. I have no way to see them.
But 310 MB of such files seems really excessive.

I seek any advice regarding how I can see those 310,615,976 bytes and how I can cut them down.

Warm Regards,
Mark.
