Windows 10 Lost Sticky Notes

My system prompted me to do an update for windows 10. I didn't notice at first but all of my sticky notes have gone. I have navigated to %AppData%\Microsoft\Sticky Notes folder but the sticky notes folder is not there. My IT dept have also tried to retrieve them but without any luck. Does anyone know how to get them back
