Hi All,

I've had a good google about this today and haven't found anything I would call official (forgive me if I've missed an obvious one!).

We have about 6 Windows 7 PCs that have stopped installing updates for Windows from WSUS. Tried the usual stuff (including manual download and install) but it's still failing on the reboot and things were pointing to the System Reserved partition being full.

I've had a look on a few of these machines and sure enough it is full. Unfortunatley they have WinRE recovery partitions on them so I can't easily extend them. I obviously haven concerns about just deleting this volume and extending incase I leave people with broken machines needing re-imgaging.

I have some questions -

#1 How can you free up space on the system reserved partition? - these have 128kb free and if i try the disk cleanup tool it only shows the recycle bin which is 0k

#2 If you delete a WinRE recovery partition from a PC and extend the system reserved one with the new space is there a risk the PC will run after?

Thanks
