Below troubleshooting steps were tried.

  1. Removed the all printers configured in the workstation and tried to add again
  2. Followed the Method 1, 2, 3 and 4 Print Spooler Keeps Stopping on Windows 7 & 10 [Solved] - Driver Easy
  3. Tried to deleted all the files under %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\ and no files found (Delete your print spooler files)
  4. Right Click on “Microsoft XPS Document Writer” and selected Troubleshoot. Because there were no network printers installed. Troubleshoot was at “Detecting Problems” and prompted to “Apply this fix” or “Skip this fix”. I selected Apply this fix. Then troubleshooting has completed. Able to install network printer but after some time it is disappeared
  5. Print Spooler service is in started state in Administrator account who are IT Technicians (System Administrators). Added the user account to administrator group and still the same issue
  6. User are able to send print till last Friday. User reported unable to perform print outs issue on Monday. IT Technicians who manage printers have restarted the printer server. It worked and not working from next day.

Kindly help why Printers are disappears or in grayed out state under the "Devices and Printers". How to solve this issue

Regards, Boopathi
