Windows 10 Win7 Backup in Win10 : System Image Backups

If you use the win7 backup to create a system image backup , and then later create another system image backup, does the first system image backup get overwritten with the latest new system image backup? There seems to be some confusion online, on whether or not it will create a new system image backup or whether it will overwrite the previous one.
