Please explain: Event ID: 4155 Description: I/O on .......... has failed.
Does Microsoft have a list or catalog for Event ID numbers?
Please post a link for event ID 4155
.
.
Log Name: System
Source: iaStorB
Event ID: 4155
Task: N/A
Level: Error
Opcode: N/A
Keyword: Classic
User: N/A
User Name: N/A
Description:
I/O on 0000000001003000000000003B1007C0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 has failed.
How come the description has so many characters?
Is it referring to CPU or drive or something else?
How can you narrow down and identify the problem?
Software versus hardware?
For failure is it temporary or permanent?
If there are multiple event viewer entries (five to ten in a row) then it is temporary/permanent and recurrent?
If there are multiple event viewer entries separated by more than seconds or minutes then it is temporary/permanent and recurrent?
Should CPU be stress tested?
Should drive be tested?
Should Intel rapid storage technology software be uninstalled and reinstalled if it is installed?
Should drivers be uninstalled and reinstalled or stress tested?
Please explain the event viewer entry and include links.
