Windows 10 Sticky Notes Missing

My computer updated last night with the April updates (not sure why it took so long). This morning my sticky notes are all gone with information that I needed. I have tried the various options in the forums, unfortunately they are not working. Opening them in the notepad and Word resulted is just symbols and I cannot retrieve the information I had on them. How do I fix this? Do I need to undo the update? Can I even do that?
