I originally updated to windows 10 from the free upgrade. There is supposed to be a digital license.
I run an old HP Pavillion laptop dv7 2174ca that I bought new in 2009. I know it is old, but i cannot afford to replace it.
I had to roll back an update when it would not recognize my screen driver and instead of displaying the 1600x900 resolution, it forced 800x600 which is not acceptable.
Now i get the Windows 10 Activation Error Error code: 0xC004F012
How do I fix this?
I tried running the trouble shooter, but I got this error:
There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070422)
