Hello.
I have disconnected my external hard drive while encrypting it and now when I try to access it through Windows Explorer with the correct recovery key (matches the identifier) it will tell me that the recovery key does not match.
I have downloaded M3 Data Recovery (the free version) and through that I can preview various txt files, which gives me hope as to the recovery of all files. However, I do not want to pay 179$ for the pro version and was gonna ask if anyone knew another software that could perform similar functions.
Also, do you have any idea if recovery would be possible through repair-bde? On the official site, it expressedly states that it cannot recover data from drives that have failed during encryption (which I guess applies to my case), but could I give it a try without writing anything new on the hard drive?
Thanks
