Hi everybody,

I recently decided to upgrade computers to Windows 10. Users use softphones (third party, not MS product).

Since the migration, users face voice break while on line. The break lasts some seconds and the communication comes back. That happens every 10 minutes.

I have noticed on the event viewer that this voice break always comes with an event "DNS Client Event" :

"The system failed to register pointer (PTR) resource records (RRs) for network adapter with settings

The reason that the system could not register these RRs was because the DNS server refused the update request"

OK. Lets figure out this error.

I gave permissions to computers to update the PTR records. Probleme solved, I do not have anymore error in the event viewer.

My problem is that my issue remains.

Every 10 minutes, If my users are on line, the voice breaks for 3, 4 or 5 seconds, and comes back.

I suspect that DNS update process runs in the background, and does something (I dont know what), which breaks the communications.

Has anybody faced that kind of issue, and how to solve it ?

Anybody knows how that dynamic DNS update works and what in the process can bring about voice failure ? (network restarted ? flush dns ?

Any idea ? suggestions ?

I am even able to know, when the next voice break will happen (10 minutes later from the last DNS Client Event) ^^ Thats frustrating not to be able to fix it.

Thank you for your help
