Hi Folks:
I've recently had a laptop, ASUS G750, repaired so a friend can use it. It's running Windows 10 and Windows was updated yesterday.
I was using a second display in the display port while setting the system up.
When I showed it to my friend, at her place without the second display, Windows Explore wouldn't come up. When I tried to get the Display Settings window that was also AWOL.
It was apparent that the two windows were displaying on a non-existent second monitor. This was confirmed when I had a chance to plug in the second monitor.
Is there some way to tell Windows to display any windows on a monitor that's connected to the PC?
I then tried to run a backup using ShadowProtect.
ShadowProtect failed to display.
I had a hunch, and hit print screen. There was ShadowProtect, to the right of the screenshot for the second display.

That's ShadowProtect, on a third display!
I've never had three displays running on this machine. I hit Display Settings again and now I apparently have three displays.

What it this third display? There is only the laptop's display and the second display connected to the display port?
I can select the third display in the Display Settings window. What do I do if the Display Settings window pops up on a non-existent display?
Thanks
Larry
