Anyone know if there is a setting or group policy to prevent windows from searching in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths for using in start-run or being able to call the app directly from the exe.
It works for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths, but not in current user.

It works for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths, but not in current user.
- Tested on 1809 and 1903 with local apps, doesnt work. Win7 works fine.
- We use app-v, so path enviroment variable is not usable.
- The apps are published to users so it is impossible to put the app path in HKLM.
- This is not an app-v issue. Pretend app-v is not involed here, I just want to use registry HKCU app paths with any local app.
