I have 8 external drives and all but 6 of them are usable. I did find a virus just prior to one of my drives becoming corrupt and every day for the last week I've lost the rest of the drives. This virus find was also the same day as windows 10 updated, just a coincidence?
I've tried all sorts of fixes, I started off by running EaseUS recovery, but it didn't work too well, but whilst running it two more drives became corrupted.
I've just tried SFC /scannow and it told me I had errors so I ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth This found the errors and when I ran Scannow again it told me the errors had been fixed.
Now here's the problem. my drives are still telling me either, they are corrupt or they require formatting. Where do I go from here please? I must recover those drives as they contain many years of work, turning my CD. LP and cassette collection into MP3s. I know I should have backed them up, but 14 Terrabytes was too expensive to save to more drives. I never invisioned all 6 drives dying in a week. Please help. Thank you.
