Alright- so I just bought this new PC but I'd really like to avoid downloading classic shell if possible. The first thing that I did was removed all of the worthless garbage that I would never even pretend to use (apps, tiles, pointless clutter, etc.). All I want is A CLASSIC LOOKING START MENU (but with words- not icons like it's a Mac or an iPhone). This is a Windows computer, and I want it to look like it.
So now I've got all of the folders I want, but they're crammed up into the left side of the "start menu" in the form of icons, instead of actual words. And I have a lot of excess space for some reason. There is not a way to 'expand by default'. I would take that option.
I will literally venmo money to anyone willing to fix this problem for me. Thanks
