Windows 10 MKlink not working

guys - this command isn't working for me. Can someone help? It shows it was created but there is no folder1 in c drive. I need this link to be permanent across reboots since it'll make it easy for me to just open up \folder1\ and save all my files there and they will automatically go onto onedrive

mklink /D \folder1 \homefolder\OneDrive\Work
symbolic link created for \folder1 <<===>> \homefolder\OneDrive\Work
