Windows 10 Screen goes black after installing intel 520 graphics driver

One day, my laptop was working fine, then I had to go somewhere, closed the lid, and it never turned back on. The screen would just stay black. I tried resetting windows, but after it does its updates, it would go black again. The screen is on but just doesnt display. After multiple tries, I learned that after installing the graphics driver for intel 520, the screen goes bad. I've tried rolling back to a previous windows version where everything worked, but still no go. Tried resetting CMOS battery, still no go.
