There is a known problem with Windows 10 upgrades to 1909 displaying:
a black screen with Personalized Settings box and mouse displaying rotating blue circle.
Links displayed making deletions in the registry.
I've not worked with registry backups and restore.
These fixes are done with a Windows 10 iso > advanced troubleshooting > command prompt
.
.
Please explain how to use Windows RE command prompt to:
1) backup one registry item
2) restore one registry item
3) backup a second registry item
4) restore a second registry item
Again all of these are using command prompt with no ability to use Windows as there is a black screen
5) Also how do you backup the whole registry and the restore using Windows RE command prompt.
(I have no experience modifying the registry so please be specific and detailed)
The computer was upgraded from Windows 1703 or 1709 to 1909.
The computer has dual graphics (Intel iGPU and Nvidia dGPU) which were working fine prior to the upgrade.
Three power off/on > preparing automatic repair > diagnosing your PC > repairing disk errors. This might take over one hour to complete (took few minutes) > password entered > black screen
