Hi,
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this issue. I've done many builds ranging from 1803 - 1909 and on different hardware (Although all Dell)

The main volume control is fine but when increasing the app volume there are frequent points where the audio actually gets quieter rather than louder. it seems to vary a little where the app volume slider needs to be for it to drop but generally it seems to be between 24-25 49-50, 58-60 and 74-75. This happens with all our builds including vanilla Windows 10 1909 with just the chipset and audio drivers installed. I've had a few other people test on other hardware and they get the same issue so I think it's quiet widespread but I can't really find any instances of it reported online. It has been suggested that this is a volume limiting process to protect people from turning the volume up too loud but I can't find this feature documented and it makes no sense having a slider that goes from 0 - 100 if the volume just randomly jumps in between. Maybe it cap at a lower volume but that's not what is happening. Again, the main volume is fine, this only affects the individual app volume controls.

Any ideas?

TIA
Baz
