If a user gets an issue or we need to clear space, we will delete a users local profile. These are domain users with folder redirection / GPOs so it's only really application settings in there. We do this using the User Profiles system applet.
Since OneDrive I've found you have to "Unlink this PC" in OneDrive as the logged on user in order for the profile to be fully deleted. If I don't do this I get the following folder left behind;
C:\Users\<Username>\OneDrive - <tenant name>\
This folder can't be removed by an admin, I've tried taking ownership and forcing the permissions changes but it still won't delete. I get messages such as 'access denied' or they cloud provider service is not running'.
I can use more aggressive tools but it doesn't feel like it should be this hard. Does anyone know a way around this or am I missing something simple?
