Recently did a full scan of my laptop and Windows Defender (WD) found some malware. Removed everything in the History tab of WD and restarted my laptop. When opening WD after the restart, got the message "Some history items could not be displayed. Please wait a few minutes and try again. If that doesn't work, clear the history and then try again. Error code: 0x8050800d". Closed the message then clicked the Turn on button because WD is displaying "Real-time protection is turned off. You should turn it on." in its Home tab. Took some time then another message shows "Real-time protection couldn't be turned on. This operation returned because the timeout period expired. Error code: 800705b4". Thanks for any help.
