Many know the following, already, but... might be some who do not, yet.
Sure, there are search boxes all over the place; taskbar Search box, address bars, Bing bar, Cortana & more. Obviously, type in & hit Enter & that's cool. "There must be a better way" (wink)... Well, not necessarily better, but, these sure make it easy:
1. "Hey Cortana" & speak what you seek.
2. Win+C and start asking Cortana, no "Hey Cortana" required.
and, here's one some may not know
3. Hit Win key & start typing (what you seek).
These can be used without needing any icon or (text) box for Search or Cortana to be on the taskbar.
