Hey folks

I've done something a computernerd (like me), only can call..adminmoronic.

I've been using Windows defender and Windows Firewall for the past year, since its beats Comodo for my protection (Comodo is waaaaay better, but you spend half your computer time administrate it).

Now both Windows Defender and Firewall isnt working properly. Because I dont have admin rights over it!

Is there any other way then a repair upgrade/Format C:/Install where I get Windows defender and Firewall back? Default is good!

Background:

I've added some features to WIn 10 Home to try them out. IIS and a few server services. Didnt use em much but didnt think they harm either.

That was 6 month ago.

The past few weeks, a drive H (Which I dont have) got bitlocked (which I done have with Home), Windows firewall is on but I cant admin it. Not even Microsoft support could switch off Windows Firewall to switch it on again.

I have 1 user, one pc. NO SYNC. No viruses.

There was leftovers of comodo firewall, Nortons virus of a viruskiller and F-secure, I tried months ago.

They are messing with Windows firewall and it does not matter how many times I remove every bit of 3:e party anti virus "stuff",
(not byte, Im not a master computernerd) I cant get Windows defender and Windows Firewall back to Default and MY control.

The reason this popped up now, is that I "need to have group or domain" admin rights, when I dont have a group or domain.

I have done:

  • - System restore
  • - Used 5 different Malware/virus scanner, logs. Found nothing.
  • SFC /SCANNOW, Image repair, etc etc etc.
  • - Microsoft Tech support remote access me, and said "not our problem". It isnt, I agree. But is there not a command to force Windows Defender to become King over all Windows 10?
  • - Reset Firewall and Windows defender to default.
  • - Used UTW4.6 to disable windows firewall/defender. And enable them.
  • - CCleaner, delete and registry cleaner (I only search with CCleaner, I delete with win 10 regedit).
  • - Run Malwarebytes Repair tools
  • - Blamed Santa, so he ran off and left me no gifts.

I've tested to visit websites you should not visit, and "lighthouse" "Comodo VPN" and "redirect" shown no successful harm to my system.

My system is protected, even if win 10 keeps warning me "PUT ON A FIREWALL!"

Anyone know any command/Software, change to user, Anything, to simply put Windows Defender back in charge? With its firewall?

My system runs great. No problems with either attacks or viruses. I use ESET temporary.

A repair upgrade will most likely fix this. But my system is.....well, lets just say I think Im on the list of users who use Win 10 daily and still havnt reinstalled ;).

Is the only way to completely get Windows Defender and Firewall back in charge, Reinstallation?

I have full powershell rights.

Any suggestion?

Best regards

Mr win 10 moron admin.
