The computer (windows 10 Pro) will allow me to connect and disconnect all day long. I'll go home for the evening, and VPN into the same machine in the morning and be able to remote desktop to it no problem, do some work disconnect from remote desktop and VPN. When i get to the office and try and remote into the machine it will not work with the following error message:
"remote desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reason:
1. remote access to the server is not enabled
2. the remote computer is turned off
3. the remote computer is not available on the network.
I'm able to ping the machine successfully, so it is there....it just is hiding itsself from acepting a remote request. I also performed a qwinsta and found that rdp-tcp is listening on the correct port and there were no other connections other than that console (services was "disc")
I have a bunch of event logs available etc but I am not sure what would be most relevant so rather than flooding everyone with information i'll provide whatever is asked for.
