I have used the Windows Explorer Properties/Tools dialog to schedule weekly optimization on my laptop C: drive.

When I look at the Optimization dialog today it says that the last optimization was performed 14 days ago; that's two weeks ago.

Why hasn't my C: drive been optimized at least once in this time? I assume the computer needs to be turned on and "booted" in order for optimization to be performed. Is it also necessary for the computer to be "awake" (not in "sleep" mode.)

For the last several days I have left the computer running when I went to bed. The computer may have been "asleep" by the time the scheduler would have started optimization; do I need to turn off automatic "sleep" mode to ensure that optimization can be performed?

Does "weekly" optimization mean that optimization will be performed on a particular day of each week? Or whenever it has been seven or more days since the last time the drive was optimized?

Does the fact that my C: drive is a SSD affect optimization scheduling?

Thank you.
