I am looking for a way to email event logs from the Event Viewer. Or if there is a way to alert myself or the team if certain Events happen.
I have seen steps on setting up a Subscription but that seems to just initiate a single server as a collector for all server events. I know Microsoft deprecated this feature. How do I email myself or the team a notification that something happened and we need to know about it?
Additionally 4 of our environments are still using Server 2008 R2 (I know) and we want to do the same thing. Since this feature was not yet deprecated is it that simple to just pick an event, "Attach Task to this Event", and put in my email?
