Tamper Protection won’t stay on.
Windows 10, Version 1909
On Feb. 3, I posted a detailed question asking why I can’t get Tamper Protection to stay on.
I see that there have been similar questions sent to the Community.
There have been replies suggesting that the solution is to turn it on in Virus & threat protection settings > Manage settings > turn Tamper Protection On.
This doesn’t appear to work: Tamper Protection reverts to Off.
I have found the only way to have it stay on for an extended period is by restarting twice in a row. The first restart opens with all of Virus & threat protection off. (No green bullets with white check mark next to respective icons.)
The second restart opens with all of Virus & threat protection on. (Green bullets with white check mark next to respective icons.) Tamper Protection is on too.
I have to do this 2 - 3 times a day.
Some Community replies acknowledge the problem, implying there may be an update fix in the future?
If this is true, should I simply wait for the update?
Any guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill.
