I remember in XP when we could choose file types per COMPUTER from the Control Panel.
With Windows 7 the Default Apps got super dumb making it user only but at least it had a "browse".
With Windows 10 it seems to be totally useless. We need to set the default browser for .jpg to a 3rd party paint app because the Photos App keeps breaking and erroring out and getting corrupted.
We do NOT have access to Azure servers (blocked via firewalls) so the apps don't update because it was taking 8TB of Data to update the photos app on 86,000 computers from the Azure Servers and you cannot do App Updates from SCCM Internal.
So I go to the .JPG and right click and it doesn't GIVE me the option to "Browse" the computer like it used to? We disable Windows Store due again to the 8TB of data it needs to function.
I also need to set the .website to open in the new Chromium Edge which is an installed application not an AppStore App and it won't let me select that either.
How can I hack the registry or the App to allow the "browse" to browse to computer applications?
