Occasionally, the tasks just don't run at all when the triggering events occur.
One of the tasks sends an email via a simple script we wrote. It triggers on the Startup event.
The other triggers a script on event 3 from one of our products, a service which starts during OS boot.
Usually the two scripts involved run just fine at OS boot/Startup, but every once in a while a trigger won't start the associated script.
We can always confirm the event 3 event occurred by examining the event log.
One would expect the Startup event within the Task Scheduler also always occurs.
The task histories show no activity for the tasks in these time windows when the tasks don't run.
The Event Logs have no related information about these failures.
We have been unable to find any indication of why these events are occasionally ignored/missed.
Any suggestions on further diagnosis would be appreciated.
