I recently installed a program that I had suspicions about being potentially malicious. I downloaded the program, scanned it with AVG and Malwarebytes, both came up nothing. I ran the program and during the installation, Windows Defender detected a Trojan. I selected block threat and immediately ran a scan with AVG, Defender and Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes and AVG came up clean, however Defender says that the same threat is active. I performed a deep scan and it came up with the same thing. Every time I click block threat and Start Actions, it still says there may be viruses. I run another quick scan, I get the same threat warning.
However, after looking around trying to figure out what's wrong for about 2 and a half hours, I noticed that the notifications (from the tab at the bottom right) says no threats found in the windows defender scan. But the quick scans keep showing current threats. Nothing shows up in Protection history or allowed threats. The only thing that's telling me there's a Trojan is that Current Threats section.
Is the threat neutralized or is it still hiding somewhere?
