Numerous threads about this GPO setting, here and other places, but no one seems to have it doing anything. Do you have the GPO setting "Specify Engaged restart transition and notification schedule for updates" actually working? If so, can you share your policy settings and describe the work flow the user sees?
I do not have any of the 3 conflicting policies enabled in my test OU when I turned this setting on in my test OU. I can patch a system in my test OU and it just sits there for DAYS without any type of notification despite it needing a restart. My goal is to have a dialog ask the employee to reboot after updates are released/applied. Let them snooze for some period of time and then when the deadline has past, reboot anyway since we gave them warnings to do so.
