Hello everybody,
I keep noticing, that Windows Update and the Device Manager sometimes provides very different driver versions.
For example: A device with an Intel I219-LM NIC which I have right here:
After the Windows installation, the driver from Microsoft (version: 12.17.10.8, date: 12.06.2018) is installed.
I don't get any newer installed via Windows Update.
If I click on update in the device manager, it will download and install version 12.18.9.11, date: 09/05/2019 - provided from Intel.
It's very annoying!
What's the point behind offering two different ways/databases ?
Thanks and greetings,
Martin
