Two mostly identical Win 10 computers both win Pro 1903, build 18362.270
Computer 1 is Dell with originally 1803 build updated to above.
Computer 2 is HP with fresh 1903 OS install, updated to above.
I can manually type in computer names and map drives both directions. Computer 1 shows itself and all other computers on the network. Computer 2 does not show itself or any win 10 computers. It does show a few win 7 computers we have hanging around.
What gives with this? Do I need to have a DNS or WINS server running.
A google of this problem indicates how little the actual process is understood and is essentially a bunch of people who want to be helpful, but are really just throwing darts hoping something might fix this problem without regard to how they are damaging basic network security in the process.
