Hy!

Our organization have many E3 licenses which is added to users. There are some notebook which is joined to the On-Premise AD. These laptops is showing in Azure Portal as Hybrid Azure AD joined. The dsregcmd /status result: AzureAdJoined: YES.

I am testing it with my laptop. My laptop has been activated with Enterprise key in earlier (the status is The Windows is activated with digital license.), but no I would like to activate my laptop with E3 license which is assigned to my user account. I removed the license key from my laptop with these commands: slmgr /upk and slmgr /cpky. The result is the license key was removed from my laptop and the activation status change to "Windows is not active". Then I restarted the laptop, login with my UPN again, and the activation status is still "Windows is not active." Why?

When I click on to the "Troubleshooting" button, the activation status change back to "The Windows is activated with digital license.". I think it is not correct because the status should be subscription based.

What do I have to do to working the subscription based activation with E3 license?

Thank You for help!
