Hello,
I have been using Asus X542UN windows 10. Recently, my PC keeps getting shut while playing any kind of video. I suspected the problem was a battery issue initially. I ran hardware diagnostics and other battery diagnostics, but everything came okay or normal and showed that my battery was okay and any problems I was having was not anything related to hardware as I could run my PC smoothly even with heavy duty software like MATLAB.
I updated the drivers and other associated softwares. My all softwares were up to date, ran defender full scan and offline scan. I ran scan with Microsoft safety scanner and found nothing. I had a virus (Ramnit) attack in March but defender took successful action against those.
Then I downloaded Media creation tool and reinstalled windows 10 keeping all the files and apps intact.
Now, once I installed video drivers, problems seemed to be solved and then continued afterwards.
after I reinstalled windows, problems seemed to be solved, but then again continued afterwards.
I am certain it is not a hardware problem, but what problems may be the cause ?
If it is a malware attack, how to successfully remove it?
