This computer had windows 7 pro and was updated to windows 10 during the initial update time. Recently the OS became corrupted and could not refresh. A PC Tech shop said try reinstalling the Windows 10 but this just fails. Computer was set back to windows 7 pro in the attempt to reinstall windows 10. But now it will not go past the request for a product key....

PS: The corruption had to do with DVD player not being seen by Windows 10 when it did for long time before. The PC finds the unit in device manager. No errors, device supposedly works fine but will not show up in windows explorer. After reverting back to windows 7 pro, thinking the DVD player would show up in windows explorer, it did not. Three different units were installed and showed up in device manager but not windows explorer. Tried at least 20+ options found all over the internet. Registry changes, upper and lower filters, Bios changes, and many others. Nothing worked. Now that it is back to windows 7 pro, I still cannot get 10 without a product key. This is the original HD and mother board...

I am desperate to get this pc running back the way it was. At this point I don't even care if the DVD player ever works....
