Windows 10 Pro 1909 in workgroup
When type in Cortana Search, no results show for user
User is 2 weeks old after changing a corrupt user for the same user
if log in under different user results show for Cortana search like cmd or control panel
NOTE Cannot open Control Panel with same error. Checked and can with other user. This user is local admin and is an outlook.com user controlled by azure. Have logged as other user and change this user to local user and then back to Administrator and log back and same restrictions.
Have run sfc /scannow Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Just recently did In Place install using 1909 ISO.
NO AV other than Windows Defender
Followed I can't type anything into the Cortana/Task bar search bar
Don't see cortana process
tried to run Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.Cortana | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Getting some errors
Have errors in text file, can submit
Also Settings, Cortana, Microphone, check the microphone fails with error
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
Changed from Trusted Installer to local user name and full control and still fails. Changed to everyone full control and still fails with error.
