Windows 10 Snipping Tool Problem

I have been using the Snipping Tool quite regularly without any issues with either copying or savings a snipped picture. Today though, I noticed, I am now unable to paste a snipped pic onto any platform. Clicking Copy from the tool menu does not fix the issue. The only way I can put a snipped picture into any platform is to save the snip first then insert the saved pic.

I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this issue.
