We have a small software applet in a GPO for many computers and I noticed it does not install unless the PC is physically on the network (like locally in an office) and rebooted twice.
The error in event log is:
The assignment of application <application name> failed. The error was : %%1274
I did some research and there has been some suggestions to also in the same GPO add a value for Startup policy processing wait time.
My question is how many seconds should we wait, provide that at least 80 of our users are using home internet connections and they have to log in, fire up the Cisco Anyconnect VPN client, authenticate, answer the 2FA on their phone, and then they are "on network". We have a work from home OU I could create a unique GPO for them, and give them say 5 minutes (300 seconds). Would that help you think, give the users enough time to get connected to our network?
